Flights
We find the routing that works for the whole group and hold it. Large groups rarely fit on one flight; we plan the arrivals around that rather than making half the party wait.
Planned trips to the Dominican Republic
Flights, hotel, airport pickup, car and tours, arranged around your group by the people who run the trips on the ground. Any group size, anywhere in the country.
In short
We Plan Your Trip is a free planning service from My Dominican Trip for anyone travelling to the Dominican Republic, from a couple to a group of two hundred. You describe the group, the dates and what you want to do; we read it the same day and get in touch by WhatsApp or phone to build the itinerary with you, covering flights, hotel, airport transfers, car rental and tours. Nothing is paid on this page and there is no obligation.
Free, no obligation
The more you tell us here, the less we have to ask later. A real person reads it the same day and gets in touch to build the plan with you.
Five short steps above: who is travelling, when, where you are flying from and what you want us to handle. It takes about two minutes and you do not need dates locked in.
A real person reads it the same day and puts together an itinerary against live availability — not a template. If something you asked for does not work for your dates or your group size, we say so and offer the alternative.
We get in touch — WhatsApp, a call, whichever you picked — and go through it with you. Then you get the itinerary and the cost, itemised. Change what you want and we redo it. No charge and no obligation.
The same team that planned it meets you at the airport and runs the tours. If a flight is late or something changes mid-trip, you message one number and it gets handled here, not by a call centre in another country.
Take all of it or take the parts you want. Most groups already have flights and hand us everything after landing.
We find the routing that works for the whole group and hold it. Large groups rarely fit on one flight; we plan the arrivals around that rather than making half the party wait.
All-inclusive resorts, apartments or a private villa. Above about eight people a villa is usually cheaper per person and far easier to live in, and we will tell you when that is the case.
Private vehicles sized to the group, with the flight tracked. Nobody negotiates with a taxi at midnight with four suitcases and two sleeping children.
When the group wants to move on its own. We sort the insurance properly up front, which is the part that catches people out at the counter.
Chosen against the ages and the energy of the group, not off a rack. We say which ones we would not put your group on, which is usually more useful than the list of what is available.
One person and one WhatsApp number from the first message until you are home. You never re-explain your trip to somebody new.
A church group of two hundred and a couple on honeymoon need different things from the same country. Pick the one closest to you — the size is never the problem.
Families rarely fall apart over the hotel.
A trip for two is the easiest to book and the easiest to get wrong.
A church group has a treasurer, a leader answering to a congregation, and a number that cannot move.
A school trip is approved by people who were not in the room when it was planned.
Someone in the group always ends up being the organiser and spending the trip on their phone.
A company trip fails on logistics, not on the destination.
A reunion has a grandmother who cannot do the catamaran and a nine-year-old who wants nothing else.
You have a venue and a date.
Everyone agrees on the destination and nobody books anything.
You have just spent a year organising something.
Most itineraries are written for people who can stand in the sun for three hours.
It is her trip, but it is a family trip with a teenager at the centre of it.
The zone follows the group. A reunion with grandparents and a bachelor party do not belong in the same place, even in the same country.
The shortest distance between landing and a beach chair in the country.
Not for: Travellers looking for a town with its own life. The resort strip is built for visitors and does not pretend otherwise.
The stretch of beach north of Punta Cana, with more hotels per kilometre than anywhere else in the country and a strip of shops and restaurants behind it.
Not for: Anyone after a quiet beach. This is the busiest coastline in the country and that is the point of it.
A fishing village that became a small resort zone without losing the village.
Not for: Large groups expecting a dozen hotel options. The zone is small and the good properties fill early.
A working city with a resort economy attached, and the closest thing the country has to a golf and marina destination.
Not for: Budget groups. The signature properties here are priced accordingly.
The closest beach to Santo Domingo and to its airport.
Not for: Anyone expecting Punta Cana. The beaches are narrower and the resorts are older.
The oldest continuously inhabited European city in the Americas, and a capital of three million people.
Not for: A beach holiday. The city has no beach; the nearest is Boca Chica, half an hour east.
A green peninsula on the north-east coast, with the country's most dramatic coastline and the waterfall and mangrove trips to match.
Not for: Large groups on a tight budget, or anyone who wants a short transfer from Punta Cana.
A beach town on the Samana peninsula with a long European presence, which shows in the restaurants.
Not for: All-inclusive travellers. That is not really how this town works.
The north coast, and the country's original tourist zone.
Not for: Groups flying into Punta Cana. It is the other end of the country and the drive is most of a day.
The newest resort zone in the country, on a bay between mountains and a beach that was empty ten years ago.
Not for: Anyone who wants choice. The zone has a handful of properties and little outside them.
The planning is free. You pay for the trip, not for the plan, and there is no fee added on top for putting it together. We make our margin inside the services we operate — the transfers, the tours, the hotel booking — which is how a local operator works and why the number you see is the number you pay.
What moves the price per person, in order: the season, the hotel category, the group size and how many nights. December, Easter week and the first half of August are the expensive windows. Group size cuts both ways — it gets you a better room rate and a private vehicle instead of a shared one, but above about sixteen people the transport becomes a bus, which changes the maths.
So you have a reference before we talk. These are live figures out of our own catalogue, not a brochure — what we would charge today for each piece on its own. Your trip gets quoted as a whole, by hand.
The hotel and the flights. Those two are the ones that move a budget most, and neither has a fixed number: an all-inclusive room in Punta Cana costs one thing the second week of September and another the week of Christmas, and a flight from Atlanta is not a flight from Madrid. We are not going to print a package price that would not apply to you.
Fill the form above with as much detail as you can. We read it the same day and come back to you to put the real number together.
